A compassionate and sobering drama about two young prostitutes, from very different backgrounds, who work the streets of Madrid. Caye comes from a middle-class upbringing, and her parents have no idea what she is doing. She spends her time with other working girls complaining about the immigrants who undercut their prices, until she meets one. Zule sends money back to her family in the Dominican Republic and, after a violent encounter, the two girls become unlikely friends. Nominated for 9 Goyas, the Spanish equivalent of the Oscars, and the Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema Drama at Cannes.
