Richard Lester followed up his 1973 'Three Musketeers' with this swashbuckling comedy sequel. D'artagnan is now a musketeer, and must help his sword-slinging buddies defend the queen against the evil Cardinal and the wily Milady. Shot concurrently with the first one, many of his all-star cast sued Lester as they thought they were making just one film and felt they were underpaid. Didn't stop the movie being a cracking success.
