Lucky Me

Sticking to a tried-and-true formula, this Doris Day musical comedy has her and her theatre buddies facing the potential ends of their careers, as they're stranded in Miami with no work. They take menial jobs at a hotel and, luckily for them, who should check in but a budding songwriter with a Broadway show with parts for all of them! Doris is falling for him, but of course to finance the show, he must woo the daughter of a wealthy oil tycoon. Fear not, a happy ending seems likely. Co-stars include Robert Cummings, Phil Silvers, Eddie Foy Jr, and if you look close, you might spot Angie Dickinson making her uncredited feature film debut.
