The Cave of the Yellow Dog

The makers of 'The Story of the Weeping Camel' have returned to Mongolia for this similarly touching tale of a young girl who finds a lone dog and brings it back to the family homestead. Her father is sure it is responsible for attacking their sheep, and forbids her to keep it. Once again a non-acting family are shown, in almost documentary fashion, during their daily struggle in an environment that has no room for weakness or luxury, even as 'civilisation' creeps ever closer.
