The Return
An adult (well, brunette at least) Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as an outwardly together sales rep who is in truth troubled by an absent father, a stalker and visceral visions of a murder. An eerie little number that builds suspense through off-beat lighting and editing, with a twist in the climax that possibly makes it worth the somewhat baffling plot that precedes it. Sam Shepard co-stars in the American debut of director Asif Kapadia ('The Warrior').
