The Grudge

Takashi Shimizu's eerie remake of his own Japanese thriller stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as an American health care worker living in Tokyo who takes a job as personal nurse to a woman with a bizarre sleep disorder. But when she enters the woman's house, Gellar discovers it is in the grip of a horrific curse, caused years before by a brutal act of violence and gaining strength with each life it claims. Jason Behr, Clea DuVall, and Bill Pullman also star.
