The Good German
Soderbergh's ode to the 1940s' post-war noir was shot authentically on equipment used at the time, and is based on the best-selling novel by Joseph Kanon. American journalist, Jake (George Clooney), is covering the peace talks in a devastated Berlin when he decides to find an ex-lover, the desperate and mysterious Lena (Cate Blanchett). Intrigue, murder and romance - who says they don't make them like they used to?
