The Number 23

Jim Carrey steps out of his comedy comfort zone for this psychological thriller in which he plays Walter Sparrow, a man who becomes obsessed with a novel that seems to revolve around the number 23. As the book draws him in, he begins to notice uncanny parallels between himself and the main character, a hard-boiled private eye. Fiction and reality begin to blur and as Walter descends into madness, experiencing frightening visions, he seeks the book's author, desperate to uncover the truth behind the enigmatic number 23. Virginia Madsen and Danny Huston co-star.
