Burke and Wills

Not to be confused with the intrepid 19th century Australian explorers, this Burke and Wills are two flatmates who come together at a time when both their lives seem to be on a downward turn. A crackingly original Aussie indie, shot in stark black and white, the two directors also take writing and acting credits as the eponymous main characters. A naturalistic blend of dark humour and powerful character dynamics, this is both highly entertaining and ultimately shocking.
