Dallas 362

Scott Caan makes his directorial debut with this psychological drama, which he also scripted and stars in, about two buddies living in the rundown underbelly of LA. Dallas (Caan) and Rusty (Shawn Hatosy) have a talent for trouble and would probably be in jail if it weren't for Rusty's understanding mum (Kelly Lynch). When she starts dating an analyst (Jeff Goldblum), she convinces Rusty to start seeing him, but as Rusty begins to heal his past demons, Dallas carries on his downward spiral into a life of crime. A confident first outing with snappy dialogue and noteworthy performances.
