Provoked

Based on the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, a Punjabi housewife living in London who killed her husband after ten years of domestic abuse. The London courts sentenced her to life in prison until her case was appealed by a well-known Queen's Council (played by Robbie Coltrane). With Indian superstar Aishwarya Rai in the lead role and a support cast including Miranda Richardson and Naveen Andrews.
