Dalziel and Pascoe: Series 1

Warren Clarke and Colin Buchanan are the eponymous mismatched detectives from this hugely popluar BBC series that began in 1996 and continued to run until 2007 (though a campaign by fans to make a 13th season is underway). Based on the books by Reginald Hill, Dalziel (pronounced Di'el) is a gruff, old-style copper who likes to do things the old-fashioned way; Pascoe (Buchanan) is his dedicated, University-educated polar opposite. Together, they somehow get the job done.
