The Architect

Anthony LaPaglia plays architect Leo Waters, living an outwardly perfect life in the suburbs, while on the East Side of Chicago the residents in one of his housing projects are lobbying to have the place torn down since it has become a haven of crime and drugs. The protestors are rallied around Tonya (Viola Davis) and when she contacts Leo to get his support, she sets a chain of events in motion that will force both of them to take a closer look at their families. A sincere attempt to expose the vast reality gap between America's middle classes and the urban poor; it is based on a play by Scottish playwright David Grieg, and co-stars Isabella Rossellini.
