Angel-A

Luc Besson directs this uncharacteristically sparse fantasy in which a forlorn and deeply in debt Andre (Jamel Debbouze), decides to hurl himself into the Seine. However just as he is about to take the plunge a tall and beautiful blonde woman jumps in before him. He rescues her, only to find she is there for a reason - she is his guardian angel. Filmed in black and white this story of redemption and unrequited love is also Besson's homage to the romance capital of the world, Paris.
