An intimate psychological drama with Robin Tunney and Joel Edgerton as a young, happily married professional couple whose world is overturned by a brutal rape that sends the wife into a spiralling depression. Unable to file a police report, she becomes more and more withdrawn, affecting not only her marriage, but also the relationships with her parents (Cybil Shepherd and Elliott Gould) and mercurial father-in-law (Scott Wilson), with long-hidden emotions rising to the surface.
