Blue Remembered Hills

Dennis Potter takes a fresh and funny look at childhood, as seven children spend a day out in the Forest of Dean in 1943. The freshness comes from the fact that all the children are played by adult actors including Michael Elphick, Helen Mirren and John Bird. "When we dream of childhood," said Potter, "we take our present selves with us. It is not the adult world writ small; childhood is the adult world writ large."
