The City of Violence

A Seoul cop learns that an old friend, and ex-gangster, has been murdered and returns to his hometown for the funeral, only to find that something even more sinister is going on. A frenetic and highly entertaining nod to the Korean action flicks of the '60s and '70s, this is visually captivating with some stunning set-pieces and full of the acerbic dialogue we have come to expect from the neo-noir genre.
