The Third Man

Joseph Cotten is pulp fiction writer Holly Matins, who arrives in Vienna to work for his friend Harry Lime (Orson Welles), only to be told that Lime has died in an accident. However, things don't exactly add up and soon Matins is entangled in a mystery involving the black market, Lime's Czech girlfriend and the mulitnational occupying forces. Full of incomparable atmosphere, aided by persistent zither music this is a classic noir thriller based on a story by Graham Greene.
