Murder Take One

A crackling blend of murder mystery and deadpan satire, Jin Jang's adaptation of his own play begins with the homicide of a woman in a hotel room - a straight forward investigation, except for the fact that the local TV station has won the rights to film the detectives' every move as they try and crack the case. Innovative and energetically filmed, the stand-out cast are hilariously droll, and even if the plot does lose some momentum in the third act, it does not detract from its pure entertainment value.
