Memories of Murder (Blu-ray)

Based on the true story of Korea's first recorded serial killer, and set during the politically charged '80s this film fairly crackles with tension. As local cops and big city detectives get in over their heads, methods of investigation and interrogation begin to deteriorate. Winning many overseas accolades, this film is stunning - simultaneously frightening, disturbing, funny, and deeply moving - a sardonic allegory of political brutality and corruption.
