Shooting Dogs

AKA 'Beyond the Gates'. Joe (Hugh Dancy) has come to Rwanda to do good - he's teaching local children at the UN base with his father (John Hurt) and is making advertisements for Oxfam. When politically-charged violence breaks out, the UN base is flooded with Tutsi people desperate to get away from the country-wide massacres and Joe must decide between staying with those he came to help, or fleeing to save himself. A harrowing film with the horrific true circumstances of Rwanda's past deftly handled by director Michael Caton-Jones.
