Porterhouse Blue

Based on the best-seller by great British satirist Tom Sharpe, this TV classic stars David Jason and Ian Richardson as two men battling over the future of a prestigious college. Richardson's surly new headmaster plans to clamp down on the college's proud history of gluttonous banquets, drunkeness and dotty old professors who never leave, while Jason fights valiantly to keep these sacred traditions of English academia alive. Witty and cutting, this mini-series won Jason the first of his four BAFTA awards.
