Bulletproof Salesman
An intriguing and unnerving documentary about German armoured-car salesman Fidelis Cloer, for whom the war in Iraq has been an economic windfall. The filmmakers follow him as the 'apolitical businessman' hawks his wares in one of the world's most dangerous hotspots; travelling with his gun at the ready with a seemingly inexhaustible supply of smooth confidence. Is he just a ruthless war profiteer, or is he saving lives with his bulletproof luxury cars? The filmmakers don't pass judgement on their subject matter, merely provide the backdrop of irony as Cloer makes his case.
