The Quiet American

1952 Saigon is a hotbed of political turmoil and espionage as the corrupt colonial powers tangle with the Communist uprising. An idealistic American champions a shadowy Third Force and becomes involved with a cynical British journalist and his mistress in a love triangle that may destroy all of their lives. Based on the Graham Greene novel (which was filmed again in 2002). Stars Audie Murphy and Michael Redgrave.
