Ghost Town
In the wake of a near-death experience, self-absorbed dentist Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) acquires the annoying ability to see the dead - turns out they're quite a needy lot. Fed up with the barrage of ghostly requests, Pincus does a deal with recently deceased businessman Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear), who agrees to keep all the other pesky spirits at bay, if Pincus will prevent Frank's widow from making a terrible mistake. The story isn't new, but Gervais is right at home with his sharp, dry character, and he shares great chemistry with co-stars Kinnear and Tea Leoni, in this entertaining and, above all, funny comedy.
