Long-time producer Marc Abraham ('The Emperor's Club', 'Children of Men') makes his directorial debut with this true story of inventor Robert Kearns (Greg Kinnear). Having invented the modern intermittent window wiper, Kearns tried to hawk his idea around the major car companies. They all turned him down, but then lo and behold, they coincidentally came up with the exact same idea. The enraged inventor spent the next several decades, desperately attempting to collect on his patent, eventually fighting the car company bigwigs all the way to the supreme court. Adapted from a newspaper article that appeared in the New York Times; Dermot Mulroney and Lauren Graham co-star.
