Jorge (Octavio Gomez Berrios) is a shy young Ecuadorian dish washer living in Jamaica - not as in the Caribbean, but as in, Queens, New York City. He has a vivid interior life, so vivid that it's leaking out into the real world, but no one knows because Jorge is practically catatonically shy. Writer/director Steve Barron, most famous for directing Michael Jackson's 'BIllie Jean' video, and 1990's 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles', has made a quirky sentimental comedy about an immigrant experience in one of the most multi-cultural neighbourhoods in the world - an area where more than 140 languages are spoken - Jamaica, Queens.
