A History of Violence ( Blu-ray )

Adapted from a graphic novel, Tom Stall (Viggo Mortensen) is a quiet man living a quiet life in Indiana. A quiet shattered when a pair of fugitives walk into his diner and attack a customer. Automatically Tom jumps the counter, disarms the criminal and becomes an instant, though reluctant, hero. When mystery man Ed Harris turns up and starts calling him Joey, Tom seems confused, but does he have a dark past? A compellingly bold and uncharacteristically low-key thriller from horror-meister David Cronenberg, nominated for a Best Screenplay Oscar in 2006.
