Elvis and Anabelle

An artful blend of romantic whimsy, dark comedy and magical realism, this Texas indie stars Max Minghella as Elvis, the soul-searching son of a mortician, and Blake Lively as Anabelle, a reluctant pageant queen, pushed into the limelight by her domineering mother (Mary Steenburgen). It is only when Anabelle drops dead of a heart attack that our two would-be lovebirds meet up. All that is required to bring this Texas Rose back to life, is a stolen peck on the lips. Leaving her demanding life behind, she hides out with Elvis and his eccentric dad in their beaten up old house, but they can't stay hidden forever. Joe Mantegna and Keith Carradine also provide support.
