Fire Over England
Superb British historical drama as Elizabethan England is under attack by the Spanish Armada. Flora Robson is magnificent as Queen Elizabeth, who sends a trusty (Laurence Olivier) undercover into the heart of the Spanish court to uncover King Philip's evil plans. Raymond Massey is the perfect villain and the romantic interest is provided by Laurence's future wife, Vivian Leigh. It was on this picture that they met and fell in love. Based on the novel by A.E.W. Mason who also wrote the World War 2 romance, 'The Four Feathers'.
