Blue Velvet ( Blu-ray )

Director David Lynch crafted this hallucinogenic mystery-thriller that probes beneath the cheerful surface of suburban America to discover sadomasochistic violence, corruption, drug abuse, crime and perversion. The hero (Kyle MacLachlan) finds a severed ear whose trail leads him to a detective's daughter, and a mesmerizing beauty with a terrible secret. Dennis Hopper is great as the sadistic villain.
