Flying Swords of Dragon Gate
In Tsui Hark's epic wuxia thriller, Jet Li plays a swordsman at war with the reigning forces holding power during the Ming Dynasty, while a concubine (Mavis Fan), possibly bearing the child of the corrupt emperor, has vanished with the help of a female warrior (Zhou Xun). The characters eventually converge at the Dragon Inn, where astounding martial arts combat unfolds. Winner at the Asian Film Awards, "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" is a martial arts masterpiece filled with spectacular special effects delivering knock-out action that has to be seen to be believed.
