My Brother the Devil

Authentic British urban drama written and directed by Sally El Hosaini, in which two teenage brothers have to face their prejudices head on if they are to survive the perils of being young British Arabs on the streets of gangland London. Rashid wants more for his younger brother Mo than the life Rashid has furnished himself on the gangland streets of Hackney. Although heavily involved with a local gang, Rashid saves the money he gains by selling drugs as a way of hopefully putting Mo through college. However, Mo admires his older brother and wants to follow in his footsteps; but when he becomes involved with the gang himself, Mo becomes victim to a mugging. Throughout the film, the two brothers are forced to confront their respective identites while struggling to survive on the streets of London.
