Elena

Elena (Nadezhda Markina) and Vladimir (Andrey Smirnov) come from very different backgrounds. Vladimir is a wealthy, cold man, while his submissive wife Elena comes from a modest background. The two of them have met late in life, each with a child from a previous marriage. The couple's marriage comes under strain when Elena asks her husband to give financial support to Sergey (Aleksey Rozin), her unemployed son from a previous marriage, and his family. Vladimir refuses to help Sergey and goes further, changing his will to make his long-estranged daughter as his sole heiress. Furious with her husband and with nowhere to turn, Elena decides to take matters into her own hands. Suspenseful Russian drama directed by Andrey Zvyagintsev ("The Return").
