Nick Dunne reports his wife Amy missing on the day of their fifth wedding anniversary. Due to Amy's high profile as the inspiration for her parents children's book series "Amazing Amy" her disappearance begins a media frenzy and Nick and Amy's marriage is put into the spot light. The cracks soon appear in Nick's portrait of a blissful marriage and his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
