Pierce Brosnan's invitation into the James Bond fold puts him head-to-head with a former associate, now a ruthless renegade agent trying to control 'leftover' soviet nuclear weapons. Sean Bean is the rogue operative and Famke Janssen is a sexy female assassin. The name 'GoldenEye' comes from the nickname of Ian Fleming's beach-front, Jamaica home, where he wrote the Bond stories in the 1950s and '60s.
