Near Dark
A young man, after being bitten, becomes a travelling companion with a nomadic group of vampires, and all the while his father and sister search relentlessly for him. Stylish, graphic, no-nonsense film packs a wallop. One of the best of the genre and one of the few serious efforts in recent years. While not without humour, it is very dark. Excellent, self-assured direction by only second time director Bigelow.
