The Virgin Queen

Bette Davis reprises her role as Queen Elizabeth I, having previously portrayed her in 'The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex'. The fanciful story presumes she is jealously in love with Sir Walter Raleigh (Richard Todd), an opportunist who, unfortunately, falls for Lady-in-Waiting, Joan Collins. Notable for a masterfully flamboyant performance by Davis.
