What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

This gothic psychological chiller from director Robert Aldrich stars Bette Davis as former child star Baby Jane Hudson, driven by jealousy and dementia to unmercifully torment sister Blanche (Joan Crawford), a one-time respected actress now confined to a wheelchair in their dilapidated West Hollywood mansion. Famously the two aging mega-stars did not get along. Joan required stitches after a head-kicking from Baby Jane, and retaliated by putting weights in her pockets for a scene where she is dragged by Bette. Co-stars the excellent Victor Buono and incidentally the curious next-door neighbour is Bette's real-life daughter.
