The Black Pirate

The definitive pirate movie and one of Douglas Fairbanks' most popular films is this silent swashbuckler about a nobleman who vows to avenge the death of his father at the hands of pirates. He infiltrates a brigand crew and soon endears himself to their black hearts. Fairbanks is at his best, a jaunty, resourceful hero performing the most amazing acrobatic feats.
