The Count of Monte Cristo
In this lavish version of the Alexandre Dumas novel, Jim Caviezel plays Edmond Dantes who is duped by his jealous aristocratic friend (Guy Pearce) and secretly sent to prison. While in jail, Dantes is befriended by a priest (Richard Harris) who helps him escape and leads him to a treasure that will help him stage revenge over his former ally.
