In this reworking of the 1997 Norwegian thriller, Al Pacino is a maverick Los Angeles detective who, along with partner Martin Donovan, investigates the murder of a teenage girl in a remote Alaskan village. While battling sleeplessness due to the region's 24-hour summertime sunlight and corruption allegations back in L.A., Pacino finds himself enmeshed in a wicked cat-and-mouse game with crime novelist Robin Williams, the prime suspect. With Hilary Swank, Paul Dooley; directed by Christopher Nolan ("Memento").
