Tom Wilkinson and Jessica Lange are a long-married couple who have a typical family life in a small Illinois town. That is, until father of two, manufacturing plant foreman and churchgoer Wilkinson tells Lange he feels he's a woman trapped in a man's body. He then begins taking hormones, dressing in female clothes and trying to adjust to a new way of living while he and Lange face the effects of his transformation on their marriage, children and community. Based on the play "Looking for Normal" by Jane Anderson, who also directed. With Clancy Brown, Hayden Panettiere.
