Felicity Huffman ('Desperate Housewives') won kudos and awards for her layered portrayal of a pre-operative transsexual named Bree. A week before the op, Bree discovers she is the father of a 17 year old son, and her analyst (Elizabeth Pena) won't allow the operation to go ahead until Bree has met him. Afraid of telling him the truth, Bree tells her 'new son', Toby (Kevin Zegers) she's a Christian missionary, and together they embark on a road-trip from New York to Los Angeles. Warm, funny and moving the film was exec produced by Huffman's real-life husband, actor William H Macy.
