Goodbye Lenin!

Germany 1989, shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, and a young East German dissident is arrested during a protest. His pro-Communist mother, upon seeing her boy incarcerated, suffers a heart attack and slips into a coma. When she awakens months later, her son is told she must avoid shock of any kind, forcing him to go to great - and often hysterical - lengths to keep the recent change in government a secret. A major box-office hit in Germany, this quirky seriocomedy stars Daniel Bruhl, Katrin Sass, Maria Simon.
