Chasing Amy
Making a hyperspace jump from "Clerks" and "Mallrats", writer/director Smith fashioned this very funny, mature, insightful and painfully honest romantic comedy for the 90s. Ben Affleck plays the comic book artist who meets and falls in love with Joey Lauren Adams but after a few dates the truth comes out: She's a lesbian. An accomplished, enjoyable movie.
