Canadian writer/director Ian Iqbal Rashid debuts with this romantic comedy about a young gay Ismali-Canadian living in fashionable London. Alim (Jimi Mistry) has an active social and fantasy life (Kyle MacLachlan plays Cary Grant's suave ghost) but when mum (Suleka Mathew) unexpectedly arrives with plans to find him a nice Muslim wife the fun begins. Hollywood meets Bollywood in this clever and charming homage to 50s bedroom farces. Premiered at Sundance 2004.
