'Adventure in Baltimore' (1949) sees little Shirley growing up into a young woman; 'The Story of Seabiscuit' (1949) features historical footage of the real Seabiscuit in action; 'Baby Take a Bow' (1934) made before Shirley's stardom took off, she is the daughter of ex-con James Dunn; and 'Little Princess' (1939) one of her most captivating performances as the little girl left in a seminary when her widowed father is sent to the Boer War.
