Imaginary Heroes

A quietly dysfunctional family is forced to re-examine itself in the wake of a tragic event when star athlete Matt commits suicide, leaving his parents Ben and Sandy (Jeff Daniels and Sigourney Weaver) asking questions they can't answer. Ben becomes more distant from the family and Sandy's attempt to bond with their remaining son (Emile Hirsch) only seems to warm up when they discover a shared liking for pot. Screenwriter Dan Harris' first attempt at directing is a mostly successful black comedy/drama.
