I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang

Mervyn LeRoy's searing adaptation of Robert E. Burns' autobiography stars Paul Muni as a drifter unfairly sentenced to 10 years' hard labour on a Georgia chain gang. After escaping, Muni builds a new life working in Chicago, but is later recaptured and sent back to face harsher treatment. A brave film and a true classic.
